DOSHA

My very first job, as a 14 yr-old in Colorado, was in a veterinary clinic. People never know that to do with dead pets, so they usually just drop them by the vet's office. We'd then hold them in a freezer and the state/county would pick them up ever week or so.

So, when I read this story about the that dog was run over, shot in the head and then placed in a freezer - my first thought was of the teenage intern/part-timer that found her trying to get out of the freezer..

"Dosha, a 10-month-old of mixed breeding, escaped from her owner's garden in Clearlake, California. As she made her way along a busy freeway, she was hit by a car and left for dead by the side of the road."
