TENT REVIVALS ON THE SOUTH LAWN
So, in the last few days, the President has
- Again shunned the NAACP's invitation to speak at their national convention (the first sitting President to decline since Warren G Harding),
- Used his radio address to advocate for a constitutional amendment institutionalizing discrimination, and
- Quietly complained to the Republican National Committee that, with convention speakers like Mayor Giuliani, Gov. Schwarzenegger, and Sen. McCain, social conservatives are unhappy with the convention line up.
Is it me or is he worried even his conservative base will stay home on election day?

Let's not forget that if the story is actually true, Bushy also ever-so-unceremoniously flipped off someone from a bus. How thoughtful of our President to do so:

I think he must be afraid of losing the wacko vote just like his father did in '92.
Of course he's worried his base will stay home. Why do You think that there is suddenly a vote (or two or three) on a constitutional amendment for gay marriage? By the way, I'm a big fan of your site. Came to it via your wife's site and I love them both.
