Very San Francisco

At the end of a professional conversation, a colleague of mine lets me know that she is pregnant. She's very excited and I am excited for her.

This is not irregular, it's the fact that she and her partner (read: wife) are having their second child. Her partner had the first, so this time it's her turn. Also, they're lucky: the same anonymous donor who helped with the first child was available for the second.

I love the people who live here.
